Welcome to Life Saving Chaplaincy Australia

The Australian Life Saving movement is one of the world’s greatest families. It boasts generations of voluntary service, fosters lasting friendships, displays personal and professional integrity, and is totally committed to embrace the highest of human values: it saves lives.

A proud and loyal part of this family, Life Saving Chaplaincy Australia serves through pastoral care and social and emotional comfort for all Life Savers. We endeavour to respond to each individual’s needs, fostering sustained emotional and spiritual wellbeing for all members regardless of age, background or nationality.

Our Chaplains

Our Chaplains aim is to enrich the lives of Life Savers by demonstrating God’s mercy and grace to them. We achieve this by training dedicated men and women to provide pastoral care. Chaplains, like Life Savers, are volunteers and are required to be club members and complete a Level 2 Certificate in Sports Chaplaincy.

What our friends & donors around Australia are saying

I am so deeply honoured to be an Ambassador for LSCA in the wonderful role it plays in the Surf Life Saving Community and indeed more recently in International Life Saving. The enormous growth since formation of the Chaplaincy is strong proof of the great need for pastoral support to our Lifesavers.

PETER STAPLETON AM

AMBASSADOR & SLSA LIFE MEMBER

Life Saving Chaplaincy offers a positive and helpful service to members as they do there work in Clubs, on the beach, and at Championship Carnivals. It is a most valuable and non judgmental member resource and one that I am proud to be part of.
