In 2016, Terry Legg, Chaplain and founder of LSCA attended a conference for Sports Chaplaincy International, held in Hong Kong. It was at this conference that Terry meet some delegates from Manila and started a conversation about Chaplaincy in Philippine Life Saving.  The president of Philippine Life Saving was positive and supportive of the idea.

After several years of emails and trying to find the right person to take Life Saving Chaplaincy in the Philippines forward, Terry received an email introduction to Pastor Gary Visitacion, who is the South Pacific Director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Life Saving Chaplaincy endeavors to set up Chaplaincy for Life Saving under the peer Sports Chaplaincy group of a nation so that chaplains can be trained locally and to the international standard of the Level 2 Certificate of Sports Chaplaincy.

Over the last couple of months, Terry and Russ have meet with Garry to discuss how they can work together to see Life Saving Chaplaincy in the the Philippines.

Pastor Gary will now return to the Philippines to help set up training and Life Saving Chaplaincy Philippines.
