THREE GENERATIONS OF OUR FAMILY HAVE BEEN BLESSED TO PATROL TOGETHER AT DICKY BEACH.

Dicky Beach SLSC has a unique family of 3 generations all patrolling together. Samantha gained her Surf Rescue Certificate last season and joined Mum, Teresa, and Grandad, Ian Grant, on patrol. Ian started patrolling in 1961, while mum joined him in 1983 after coming thru the ranks of nippers. Samantha who also did nippers join them both last season. These 3 members of the family have completed close to 90 years of patrol between them. Then to add to that, Samantha’s dad, aunty and uncle are also patrolling members.

Ian is also the chaplain for Dicky Beach SLSC and Ithaca – Caloundra City Life Saving Clubs.
